Kids Music and Pet Hair Remover?

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

Woke up this morning and got a call from one of new clients at RGA. They were using our Jingle Player to find some music for a pet hair remover ad…They found it all via our keyword search tool. We saved them some money on the music licensing fee and all parties were happy.

Stay tuned for the clip once we get a copy of it. In the meantime check out some music we are doing for a kids DVD series with Al Roker called Get Down With Nouns. All the music provided in this set of DVD’s will be archived and licensable in our database starting in 2009.

Meeting of the Minds

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Busy, busy and busy. Past few weeks can only be described as that.

Thursday night we had Jingle Punks first ever “meeting of the minds”. Some of our guests included Ethan Goldman (ex-development exec at MTV), Miranda Johnson (MTV Producer of Sweet 16), Jason Ryan (veteran MTV producer), Athony Martini (Crush Management who rep Fall Out Boy and Gym Class Heroes), Dave Sandford (KSM Management who’s primary client is Sting), Justin Fanstasia (veteran editor that worked with me in my dot.com days and Kal D. from Muze. We batted around ideas over Cranberry Martini’s at Orchard bar (which is pretty manly). We also had special guests pop in and out during the course of the night (including a PR guru who will remain un-named). Was a fun time and turned out to be the makings of what Dan and I like to call our “dream team”.  We feel lucky to be keeping company with such smart and talented people and hope we can continue our momentum into the holiday season.

In the new year we will get even more music ingested into the Jingle Player, find more places to place our music and come up with a solid business strategy to implement. In the meantime, we are logging cues by the thousands and trying to make our database look and feel right.

I look forward to everyone coming together in 09 to help us launch this amazing service.

In the meantime here is a quick how to video I put together this week.
