ATTENTION JP ARTISTS – BLOOSTICK BEAT BATTLE

EVENT: BLOOSTICK BEAT BATTLE
DATE: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16th, 2010
LOCATION: LIQUID ICE NIGHTCLUB (ROCKLAND COUNTY)
250 West Rt. 59, NANUET, NY

This event will feature music producers from the tri-state area who will showcase their beats for entertainment industry judges and a general audience. Winner will receive various prizes donated from multiple sponsors, as well as getting tracks of their choice submitted directly to artists, A&Rs and managers from major labels. SUBMISSION PROCESS:
· PRODUCERS ARE TO EMAIL 4 TRACKS (MP3s ONLY) TO BEATBATTLE@BLOOTICK.COM. EACH TRACK SHOULD BE 90 SECONDS LONG WITH NO VOCALS; HOWEVER ORIGINAL VOCALS OR SAMPLED VOCALS CAN BE USED ONLY ON THE HOOK/CHORUS OF THE BEAT IF PREFERRED. (NOTE TO PRODUCERS: 90 SECONDS WILL COME AND GO FAST SO DON’T WASTE TOO MUCH TIME WITH THE INTRO. GET TO THE CORE OF THE BEAT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.)
· TRACKS CAN BE ALL ORIGINAL OR CONTAIN SAMPLES. THIS IS TOTALLY THE CHOICE OF THE PRODUCER.
· PRODUCER MUST BRING A CD THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT WITH ALL 4 OF THE 90 SECOND TRACKS ON IT. THESE TRACKS SHOULD BE IN THE ORDER THE PRODUCER WISHES THEM TO BE PLAYED.

ENCORE BRING THE FLICKS, JINGLE PUNKS BRINGS THE ROCK

Or rather, one specific Jingle Punk brings the rock. When Encore wanted some lo-fi grunge with attitude for a recent spot, they chose “Prize Up High,” a garage rocker from NYC’s much-missed Group Sounds. It’s a track dear to our hearts: Group Sounds featured Jingle Punks co-founder and CEO Jared Gutstadt on bass and this song was written by Jesse Korwin, vocals/guitar.
