Jingle Punks teamed up with the Major League Baseball Network for a project about spring training. The MLB Network asked for a song to underscore a promo that highlights all 30 baseball clubs in 30 days. By combining this theme with some trademark rock n roll riffage, the Jingle Punks wrote and recorded “Out on the Road” right here in the JP offices. “Out on the Road” was the initial tune, and with the addition of lyrical content about the return of summer and teams heading back into action, the Jingle Punks team crafted a catchy rock jingle. PLAY BALL!!

MLB Network teams up with Jingle Punks
Monday, February 8th, 2010Jingle Video Blog #99: Fiddle Jam 2010
Thursday, January 21st, 2010Yesterday was a HUGE day at Jingle Punks. First off we got new shirts. Yes. They are rad and everyone is bugging us for one. If you need or want one, just blog something nice about us and send proof… we’ll make sure a shirt finds you.
After the shirts arrived we had a real actual girl in our offices. This was so exciting that it was like the equivalent of putting a female ape in the cage at the zoo with the all male primates. As you can see by the devilish grins on our faces this was exciting indeed. It worked out great because Sarah, the girl who came by to drop off music, just so happened to be a world class violin player and was cool enough to jump in on a project for us that needed fiddle skills. Watch below to see the madness unfold.
Jingle Punks speaks at the Apple Store
Wednesday, January 20th, 2010This past Friday Jingle Punks did our first ever in store for Apple. Our Apple Store presentation, “Making and Selling Your Music”, was all about how to take your dream and turn it into a reality.
Armed with the Apogee ONE and highlighting Apple’s Logic Pro, we took the attendees through the steps of how to spot the types of music that shows use and then showed step by step how to create these with tools you may already own (like Logic and Garageband); We also explained how Jingle Punks produces music for top networks like the A&E, NBC, History Channel and MTV with a speedy turnaround.
During the event Jingle Jared and Jeff even recorded short songs using a mandolin, guitar, midi controller and ONE’s internal condenser microphone demonstrating how easy it is to get great broadcast ready recordings on a budget and tight space.
We want to give Apogee a major shout out for demo products they have been sending our way. We suggest you check out their website to learn more about their awesome roster of products . In the recent months, we have been traveling with the ONE, taking advantage of its microphone while composing on location for many of our high profile clients.
Check out the History Channel’s “American Pickers” featuring music from Jingle Punks, completely recorded on Apogee’s ONE, using multiple locations and talent.
Its a Mad Mad Mad House
Monday, January 11th, 2010Over the holidays, Jingle Punks did music for a new History Channel show called Madhouse. We were asked to make a new master of “One Piece at a Time” by Johnny Cash and because we were all on vacation when the request came in we used several studios, locations and artists to make this happen.
Here is a breakdown of how the process for this worked.
Step 1: I produced the basic track for the network to approve. For this I used my portable logic studio using Logic and the Apogee One. During this round I played all the instruments and put in temp vocals.
Step 2: Revisions to the instrumentation and vocals were requested and the track tempo was adjusted to fit the picture.
Step 3: Reach out to one of our Jingle Punks Artists to step in as vocals on this track.
When all was said and done the final track production was as follows. I played acoustic and bass guitar and drums, Matt Chambless played electric guitar, Jeff Peters played the washboard and James Mason was the star of this on vocals.

Gangland – Inglourious Basterds
Friday, July 31st, 2009Jingle Punks has a deal in place with the History Channel and as part of this deal we get to put some rocking tunes behind some really cool content. This promo is a tie in with a show called Gangland which is frightening show (it literally makes me pee when I watch it)…so I guess this ties in nicely with the new Brad Pitt film called Inglorious Basterds which also looks pretty disturbing, and was directed by none other than Quentin Tarrantino. This film has been in the works for a while and the buzz around it is huge. We are happy to have been part of this promo.
This promo features one of Jingle Punks favorite sons “Cortez the Killer”. These guys are making some major waves these days so I suggest you check em out before you they get too huge to personally befriend you on Facebook.
Real Housewives of Atlanta

The night begins
Jingle Punks should feel proud today. We were lucky enough to have our music in this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Ethan, Dan and I went to MPE to watch the first episode with the folks who created the show. The party was pretty fun, we drank some champagne and got laughed at because our new business cards have um…our pics on em… which some people found creepy and other folks found hilarious. Either way it was a great ice breaker and we met some really cool folks. Check out some of the snaps from this night.

Having some civilized drinks with the EP of Real Housewives of Atlanta

We took it to the Jane street hotel for some post housewives nightcaps.
After jingle schmingling for a few hours we watched the first episode which was amazing. Ep #1 ended with a classic scene about how customer service these days is a dying trend. We hope we never have a scene like this in our offices and we learned a great lesson by watching how not to run a company.
This clip is classic. Enjoy!
What Would You Do?
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009Yes. It’s an age old question. What would you do for a Klondike Bar? Jingle Punks digs deep and tries to answer this question in a series of new spots for Klondike which we have heard are airing on Comedy Central in conjunction with Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter’s new series. You can check out the first of 4 here.
Jingle Punks provides the music for this series of Klondike ads hosted by Michael Ian Black.
Getting Some Blog Loving
Thursday, July 16th, 2009Sometimes Jingle Punks gets in the press for one reason or another. In this case we were interviewed for Velvet Rope.com which is a web site dedicated to the behind the scenes action of the music industry. For one reason or another they seemed to know a lot about my shady past playing in rock bands and being featured in really strange music videos. This interview is a must read if you really want to learn more about the Yin and Yang of Jingle Punks founders…myself and Jingle Dan. Read on and enjoy!
Jingle Blog #6
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009So this week has already started with a bang. First off. Jingle Punks has finally moved into our new office. We are so excited to now have a space where we can meet clients, compose music and hang out with all our Jingle bands when they swing through town. We also just put the finishing touches on our first ever compilation of Jingle Punks key tracks for the month of July. If you are on our mailing list you will be getting a link to this shortly.
As well, Jingle Punks has been busy working on some really cool new projects. MTV recently asked us to do some pitches for a new show and to make these songs extra awesome we brought in some hired guns. Check out the below video and enjoy.
That’s all for now. Stay tuned as our next Jingle Blog is going to feature some behind the scenes shenanigans from our epic move.
Video JingleBlogs are here!
Friday, June 26th, 2009Well, for some time now our friends and even some of our clients, Mom’s and Dad’s have been asking Dan and I to document some of our day to day activities so they could get a sense of what it is we actually do here at Jingle Punks all day.
These first videos will not make anything clear except for the fact that everyday is completely different for us.
Some days we are recording with street musicians in Brooklyn…
Other days we are in LA taking rapid fire meetings to get our roster of artists placed in shows…
