Jingle Jared Gudtstadt

We here at Jingle Punks are extremely proud to announce that our CEO and co-founder, Jingle Jared Gutstadt, was honored with an ASCAP Award for writing the theme to History Channel’s hit show, Pawn Stars. This is a tremendous accomplishment for Jared who was honored among other notable composer such as Sean Callery, Michael Giacchino and Jimmy Levine. This event will also see one of Jared’s heroes, Alf Clausen, receive a lifetime achievement award for his work on The Simpsons.

Jingle Jared accepted the award at the 26th Annual ASCAP Film & Television Music Awards, which was  held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. The ceremony was invitation–only and honored the composers and songwriters of the most performed Film and Television music of 2010.

Video: Apogee Duet 2 Ad

Apogee Duet 2

Jingle Punks is proud to showcase this video advertisement for the Apogee Duet 2.  The latest version of Apogee’s USB audio interface is back and better than ever, boasting several key new features and re-designed exterior.  Having worked closely with Apogee, and being steadfast users of their products, it was easy for Jingle Punks’ Creative Services team to get into making the music for this ad.  The ad initially included a song from a mainstream alt rock band before the Creative Services team built the energetic track now featured.  According to Jeff Peters, a senior member of the team, the idea while creating the music was “to make it as quickly as possible to show how effective the Duet 2 is at streamlining the recording process and making it easier”.  This was certainly the case and both JP and Apogee are extremely pleased with how it turned out. Check out the ad below and let us know what you think.

JINGLE PUNKS SUPPORTS NEW RED CROSS WEBISODIC CAMPAIGN

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Let’s leave the wit and irony on the side for this one and tip our hats to the wonderful team who put together a compelling Earthquake Awareness video for Red Cross called “The Magnitude”. We’re pleased to be able to donate some in-house composed tracks to this project – including the tune for this below trailer:

“Creatine Rage” on Bully Beatdown

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

Add “Soundtrack for Roid Monkeys” to the Jingle Punks repertoire. We crafted a little bit of Rap-Rock parody and fun for MTV’s Bully Beatdown with this track “Creatine Rage”. High-energy montages will never be the same although there’s still the gold standard – courtesy of Joe Esposito in the original Karate Kid as a basis of humble comparison.

Cash & Cari Theme Song

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

A poppy guitar track for the theme of HGTV’s punnily titled “Cash & Cari”? Not a problem. Watch as the guru of ordinary-treasures delivers cash to homeowners from a basement of seemingly worthless junk. If only our boyhood closets didn’t hold worthless baseball cards and Smith’s lyrics penned to high school girlfriends on tear-stained stationary. Sigh.

Larry The Cable Guy Promo During Misc. Sporting Event Draws 100-Million-Plus Viewers!

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

We didn’t step out of our recording booth this weekend, nor tune in for any sports besides the public access broadcast of Hipster Kickball over in W-Burg, but apparently there was some event on Sunday that rode the coat tails of the Larry The Cable Guy Promo we scored to a massive 100 million plus viewership.

We’ll wait for a nice fruit basket from the folks at the NFL (apparently they sponsored this broadcast) as a thank-you for riding the wind beneath our musical wings. Until then, big ups to big ole’ Larry and everyone at History Channel. We have some high hopes for this one as it is our first theme song with topical lyrics to accompany original music we composed which is a seed we hope will blossom into us writing more Alan Thicke inspired TV show tunes (***see Facts of Life and Different Strokes). Fingers crossed.

Jingle Punks Gets Sportsed

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

There are times (not often) when we at Jingle Punks gladly (begrudgingly) admit we’re outclassed in the humor department. This is one of them.

The Onion Sports Network premieres on Comedy Central this Jan. 11th. This tour-de-force of all things sports and all things satire features a bevy of custom-created Jingle Punks tunes that ride the rails between sincerity and parody. Some bombastic strings, a bit of overindulgent graphic sound design and the best our in-house composing team has to offer is something we’re darn proud of. And it’s something we’re damn excited to watch.

Check out this video with the Jingle Punks crafted theme song on the end and please accept the below emoticons as the best we can do to compete with masters-of-satire The Onion and their first foray onto the Comedy Central airwaves. :0 :9 :0 ;;)

“EVERYDAY” OUR EGOS ARE GETTING LARGER

Monday, December 20th, 2010

We’ve never been accused of being shy and when it comes to opportunities to present our mugs on national television – we’re more-than-happy brushing shoulders with Miley Cyrus bong rips and Paris Hilton nip-slips.

The culmination of our 2010 auditory Rebrand and Promo partnership with History Channel puts Jingle Punks in our own music video – scoring the amazing swath of History Channel programming that has marked their stratospheric trajectory over 2010.

While we’re blushing at the exposure (so many lights, so many beards, so many overindulgent mic grabs!), we wouldn’t think that this cherry-on-top of our 2010 could have happened without the amazing vision from the Creatives at History Channel – not to mention their courage that we’d not make asses of ourselves on-set.

So without further adieu we give you “Everyday” as done in amazing live-action by The Jingle Punks. The perfect compliment to a glass of champagne or (more our style), a spill of whiskey licked-off-a-barstool this New Year’s. Cheers.

Jingle Punks + History Channel + Bret Michaels + Cars = Most awesome show launch ever!

Friday, November 19th, 2010

The cat is officially out of the bag on this. Yes. We wrote a kickass song for our new friend Bret to sing on. Yes. History Channel let us make a sick video to document the making of this song…and yes. This is all for the mega launch of Top Gear USA.

The track is currently being used in the show’s promotional spot. The show will premiere this Sunday night 11/21 at 10pm ET on History (don’t miss it!!!). Everyone is buzzing about this promo campaign including the NY Times and Billboard. Big big thanks to Krista at History, Janna and Jo from Bret’s team and of course Bret who is without a doubt still one of the biggest badasses in rock n roll today.

Here a few links to the media coverage in the NY TIMES and BILLBOARD .
