L to R: Jingle Jared, Evan Lowenstein, Todd Berhorst, Joy Kennelly, Terra Naomi, and Vladimir Vukicevic
Last Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Hollywood, CA, the Musician’s Institute’s Artist and Career Services Department launched the first of an ongoing Social Media Seminar Series with special guest panelists Terra Naomi, Evan Lowenstein, Vlad Vukicevic, and our own “Jingle” Jared Gutstadt. Joy Kennelly, a blogger, publicist, and new member of the Music Business Program faculty, moderated the panel which discussed how to utilize current social media platforms, upgrade your social media skills, and how to brand and market your company, your label or yourself online. The conversation touched on many aspects of social media and how the panelists (musicians and entrepreneurs themselves) have navigated the changing digital environment to capture an audience for their music and/or product. Check out the official Musicians Institute recap HERE, Joy Kennelly’s “Joy Writer” recap HERE, and be sure to follow all of the panelist on twitter.
