Friday, October 7th, 2011Shaftesbury and its digital media division, Smokebomb Entertainment, are launching their first original mobile app series, Totally Amp’d.The series, aimed at kids 8 to 14, combines a live-action broadcast-quality comedy series with interactive activities designed to bring viewers into the show’s action. The 7-9 minute episodes are built for smartphone and tablet devices. The series, which stars Life with Derek’s Ashley Leggat, will be available for consumer purchase in November via iTunes. The app will be published by XMG Studio. The series is being offered to buyers as a stand-alone property for other platforms at MIPCOM.

Both shows premier tonight, Tuesday, October 4, with Fashion Hunters making its debut on Bravo at 10:30p EST and Onion News Network kicking off it’s second season at 10p EST on IFC. JP is proud be involved with Cinemax‘s latest documentary series, “Skin to the Max“. The six part docu-series features a score crafted entirely by Jingle Punks as a collaboration with Will Berman of MGMT. The new show, which is billed as “Real people having real sex in erotic locales around the world,” was the highest rated debut in the networks history. The groundbreaking original movie “Five” is an anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people’s lives. “Five” highlights the shared experience each short film’s title character endures from the moment of diagnosis, through an interconnected story arc that uses humor and drama to focus on the effect breast cancer and its different stages of diagnosis have on relationships and the way women perceive themselves while searching for strength, comfort, medical breakthroughs and, ultimately, a cure.

Thursday, September 8th, 2011Jingle Punks is proud to announce that we’ve had a hand in not one, but two upcoming projects from Academy Award-nominated director, Morgan Spurlock. Spurlock, who is known for the films Super Size Me and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, just premiered his new documentary series, A Day In The Life, on Hulu. He will also be at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) next week premiering his latest film, Comic-Con: Episode IV – A Fan’s Hope. JP got to have a hand in both of these projects, providing score for Comic Con and the theme and library music for A Day In The Life. iTunes Finds Mike Errico Through Placement
Thursday, August 25th, 2011Recently, long-time Jingle Punks artist, Mike Errico, was placed in the MTV reality drama Teen Mom. Mike is no stranger to placements but this one ended up being more than meets the eye. His song, “You Could Be Anywhere,” which was featured in the finale of episode 3, ended up catching the ears of the good people over at iTunes. They liked Mike’s song enough to post about it on their Facebook page, informing over 16 million fans about Mike’s music and almost crashing his website!
