Hey Jingle Punks,

Z Rock on IFC

The continuing adventures of Jingle Jared and Jingle Dan keep on rolling. Every week seems to bring something new and exciting. This past week alone not one but two new shows debuted.  Z Rock which is our first series for IFC premiered this past Sunday and we are really happy to be part of this hilarious and well written show.

The other show we provided music for was A&E’s much anticipated Hammer Time.

Stop...Hammer Time!

This show is pretty much self explanatory and I am sure we will add this one to our ever growing list of guilty pleasure viewing.

Big thanks to Greg D at 3 Ball for getting us involved in Hammer Time and a much thanks to Mark Mark Productions who took a chance on us early on and has been placing us in tons of new shows.

All of this excitement is happening just in time for Dan and I’s next jaunt out to LA.  Last time, we met Diddy and Tila Tequila, how we gonna top ourselves this time…By meeting Erkel and Brett Michaels?  Who knows, but I am sure we will have som great stories this time around.

If any LA Jingle Punks have shows between June 22-25 while we are in LA, send the dates our way and we will make it a point to come see you.

Guest Blog from producer of new IFC Series (Inner Rich’s)

Last night was our final day of shooting our IFC series, “Funnel of Darkness” in Oklahoma and the scene called for a super awesome party.  So we got a 400 acre farm overlooking a river, with wild horses, set a huge bonfire, got 200 beers, several bottles of whiskey, tons of meat to grill, a large amount of fireworks, some guitars, and a gaggle of cute girls.  In between scenes, right before the reverse shot that I was supposed to be in, I decided to pee off the edge of the farm above the river.  I was pretty drunk at this point.  The ledge of the farm was dirt, and it was pretty clear that over time, chunks of it had fallen into the river.  I walked to about 5 feet from the edge, beer in hand, and started to undo my belt, while the party raged in the background.  Right before I could get my jeans unbuttoned, the earth gave way and I tumbled, head over foot, thirty feet down the cliff, landing just before the water.  while I was falling, I remember thinking to myself that it was pretty awesome, and when I landed at the bottom, conscious, I yelled out in victory.  Also, my beer remained in my hand the whole time.  Now, nobody knew that I fell off the edge, so I had to yell a few times before my boys came to the rescue.  They helped me up the cliff, my body and face covered in blood and dirt, and I couldn’t stop yammering about how totally sweet the fall was.  In the end, I got some cute girl to take care of me and feed me drinks, while fireworks went off in the background.  I couldn’t shoot my last scene.

So now my back and arms are scabbed up, and my face looks like I got in a fight.  I also fucked up my ankle pretty good.  But in the end it was worth it, cause now I know nothing can kill me.

Happy Valentine’s Day…Engaged & Underage style

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

Jingle Punks has some great news. Our first venture with the MTV News and Docs department was an awesome show called Engaged & Underage. We serviced 15 ep’s of this series with music and also provided custom elements that will reccur in every single episode. This series premieres V day (7 pm EST) and I will post a clip of this shortly.

In other MTV news it should be noted that we will also be featured in Johnny Knoxville’s new show called “Nitro Circus“. This show is truly crazy and features some of the sickest stunts ever aired on TV . Nitro Circus will premiere on MTV Sunday February 8th, at 10:00 ET/PT and will contiuntue to fill the 10:00PM slot every sunday

As if this news wasn’t enough to blow our minds, we have even more news to report. Z Rock, which is a hilarious scripted series on IFC has opted to use the Jingle Player to support their prodcution. I can’t wait for this to air, because I am a fan of the show and love the concept. We feel very lucky to be part of all these projects and look forward to announcing more great shows as the year goes on.
