Wednesday, December 14th, 2011The Independent Film Project recently had a blog post titled “Music Licensing Cliff Notes for Indie Filmmakers: Understanding the Basics” which mentioned Jingle Punks under the “Affordable Qualtiy Music sources” section. The post, which was written by board member Dolly Turner, touches on a wide variety of topics including budgeting, song ownership, and necessary clearances. It’s a great read and very informative.
Jingle Punks has been pushing further and further into the film world through recent projects like Morgan Spurlock‘s “Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fans Hope” and Michael Dowse‘s “Goon“. We appreciate getting this exposure to IFP’s network and look forward to working more extensively in both the indie and feature film spaces. Be sure to check out the IFP post HERE and contact us if you’re looking for music for your next film!

JP Artists Make ‘Best Covers’ of 2011
Tuesday, December 13th, 2011
Jingle Punks has built a reputation for having some of the BEST pre-cleared indie music available and that reputation was built, in part, thanks to the success of our incredible Artist Community! We don’t see that changing any time soon and we’ve got more proof as to why we’re the best and it comes from Cover Me Blog’s “Best Cover EPs of 2011″ list. The blog’s annual list features two Jingle Punks artists, Bird Call and Alyson Greenfield, who ranked at #11 and #2 respectively. Both of their EP’s received high praise (which you can read below) and we’re incredibly happy for their success! Check out the article HERE and be sure to pick up both Alyson and Bird Call’s projects on either Amazon or iTunes.

JPHO at Rockwood Music Hall: Photo Recap
Tuesday, December 6th, 2011For those that missed the Jingle Punks Holiday Kickoff Party last Friday, December 2, at Rockwood Music Hall, you missed one helluva performance! The Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra kicked off the night with an hour long set that featured tunes from both of their recently released albums. The friend and fans in attendance were so enamored with their performance of the Hipsters, that they basically begged them to play an encore before leaving . Both JP artists and clients were in the house ready to kick off the holiday season and the atmosphere was warm and festive. Those in attendance received Jingle Punks swag including silly bands, buttons, and t-shirts along with an exceptional performance. Below is a photo recap of the night (video coming soon!).
Cheers & Happy Holidays!
Jingle Punks In Pure-Brand Blog
Monday, December 5th, 2011Recently Pure-Brand.com featured Jingle Punks in it’s PureThinking blog in a post titled “The Appeal of Interagency Music Sharing“. The writer of this post, Ryan Arnold, makes some great observations about how sharing music (or better yet playlists) between companies can be a good thing. He goes on to discuss how JP is taking our Hipster Orchestra to Ad Agencies and compared our Jingle Player to Spotify (Very high praise!). This is a very interesting read and we recommend checking it once you get a chance.
