Our Jingle Punks Artist Community is in the Holiday spirit and have some new music to prove it! We’ve recently received music from Emily Zuzik who’s version of “Deck the Halls” (produced by Charles Newman of MotherWest) was licensed by TLC for their holiday promos and is on a holiday compilation called “Feliz Christmas” that is available on iTunes.

We also received a music video from The Great White Caps. All they want for Christmas is a LOT of “Holiday spirits” and a party that doesn’t end!

And last but not least, Tru Statement Ent. shows us what happens when “Santa Goes Cray“! We hope you enjoy and we wish you all Happy Holidays!

Audrey Ryan

Today November 3, 2011, author, musician and Jingle Punks artist, Audrey Ryan, celebrates the release of her new book, “The Need To Be Heard“, with an evening of reading and music. The performance will be from 9-10pm at Pete’s Candy Store, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. You don’t want to miss this performance and you certainly will want to pick up this book! Here’s a brief overview of “The Need To Be Heard“:

The Need To Be Heard is a book for and about DIY (“Do It Yourself”) musicians- those artists who do not have big support teams that consist of labels, managers, and lawyers. It is the story of a variety of artists, both known and unknown, all united by a burning desire to be heard. Through interviews with dozens of artists and people in the music industry, and through her own story, Ryan reveals that our experiences in this business are collective in our triumphs and struggles.

The Need To Be Heard” features exclusive interviews with:

Ian MacKaye of Fugazi / Dischord Records

Dana Colley of Morphine

Stephen Brodsky of Cave In

Nat Baldwin of Dirty Projectors

Mark Richardson of Pitchfork

Lowell Brams of Asthmatic Kitty Records

Dave Godowsky of Rounder Records

Bruce Flohr of ATO Records

Jim Powers of Minty Fresh Records

Derek Sivers of CD Baby

Jeff Goodman of Sonicbids

Tom Windish of The Windish Agency

Stephen Judge of Redeye Distribution

and many others…

Audrey Ryan is a New Englander who has performed all around the world, mostly as a “one man-band” multi instrumentalist, using electric guitar, accordion, ukulele, banjo, vibraphone, glockenspeil, drums, and a loop station. For more info on the book go to:

Anyways, if a picture is worth 1000 words than this video is worth at least 10,000 words. So on that note. No more words. Just click to watch.

Real Housewives of Atlanta

The night begins

The night begins

Jingle Punks should feel proud today.  We were lucky enough to have our music in this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Ethan, Dan and I went to MPE to watch the first episode with the folks who created the show. The party was pretty fun, we drank some champagne and got laughed at because our new business cards have um…our pics on em… which some people found creepy and other folks found hilarious.  Either way it was a great ice breaker and we met some really cool folks.  Check out some of the snaps from this night.

After jingle schmingling for a few hours we watched the first episode which was amazing.  Ep #1 ended with a classic scene about how customer service these days is a dying trend.  We hope we never have a scene like this in our offices and we learned a great lesson by watching how not to run a company.

This clip is classic. Enjoy!

Our deal with Bravo was announced in todays Billboard Magazine in the business section section. Here is a link to the article which explains all the juicy details. This deal coincides with Jingle Punks being part of this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta which begins airing next week. We are very excited to be part of this show and the Bravo brand and feel like this will create some amazing opportunities for our artists to get placed in some of the most talked about programming on TV today.

Star Polish

Sometimes Jingle Punks gets in the press for one reason or another. In this case we were interviewed for Velvet Rope.com which is a web site dedicated to the behind the scenes action of the music industry. For one reason or another they seemed to know a lot about my shady past playing in rock bands and being featured in really strange music videos. This interview is a must read if you really want to learn more about the Yin and Yang of Jingle Punks founders…myself and Jingle Dan. Read on and enjoy!

Jingle Blog #6

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

So this week has already started with a bang. First off. Jingle Punks has finally moved into our new office. We are so excited to now have a space where we can meet clients, compose music and hang out with all our Jingle bands when they swing through town. We also just put the finishing touches on our first ever compilation of Jingle Punks key tracks for the month of July.  If you are on our mailing list you will be getting a link to this shortly.

As well, Jingle Punks has been busy working on some really cool new projects. MTV recently asked us to do some pitches for a new show and to make these songs extra awesome we brought in some hired guns. Check out the below video and enjoy.

That’s all for now.  Stay tuned as our next Jingle Blog is going to feature some behind the scenes shenanigans from our epic move.
